Vintage Bankers Systems Inc, figural money (piggy) bank. This is the coolest Monkey or Ape I've ever seen, he's large, colorful and simply brings a smile to your face. He is made of a very sturdy rubber with an applied finish.
I believe he is part of a collection that were gifts for new customer accounts or a give-away during Christmas for the Bankers Systems of St. Cloud, MN. Over the years I've had a couple of these banks, but they are rare to find... and I've never seen this one before! I believe these banks were produced after storybook characters, Disney in particular. This little guy is fashioned after King Louie from The Jungle Book.
Condition is Very Good...he has a very small amount of wear on his back (see photo), on his foot there is a small red spot (see photo), not a stand out issue. He does not have the rubber stopper.
