Gucci White Leather Vintage 80s Handbag Shoulder Purse
Retro Vintage Collectible Designer Fashion Cross Body
This is a beautiful Gucci handbag from the early 80s. This was my mother's and she splurged and purchased this in 80/81. This is white leather with the small red and green stripe down the front center. This has the embossed double G's for the pattern on the leather exterior, with the Gucci logo and stripe also on the front. Smooth leather trims the front and runs along all the edges as well. Accented with brass hardware is a nice long smooth leather strap which is adjustable for shoulder or cross-body use. Inside has a magnetic closure, the top portion is smooth leather, with a suede like tan leather lining, one zip pocket which is embellished with the gold Gucci name plate and a cool gold Gucci zipper pull. This handbag was only used a few times for special occasions or church, it shows very moderate wear for being 28 years old! The leather trim on the bottom has one spot of VERY mild rubbing, no doubt from setting on a shelf in a closet. On the back side there are two small marks, they appear much more prevalent in the photos than in person, another small mark is on top of the flap as well. I made no attempt to remove these other than a damp cloth. Inside is very nice, the pocket is cloth lined and has a couple of very small lipstick stains, and a light amount of wear to the leather lining, one small spot, again I made no attempts at removing any visible spots. This handbag is a Very rare find in white leather and the condition makes it that much more of a find, costing almost $300 in the 80s.
