Lisner 4 strand beaded necklace- I call this necklace Raspberry delight! A wonderful vintage piece made of elongated, oval tube beads- dark cherry red or raspberry. Each bead is separated by a small gold bead or a faceted, glass bead that is ruby red with fluted bead caps. The beads used in this piece are similar to a moonstone- they have the lighter pearlish center. The top strand is lighter than the lower three, a softer raspberry tone. This has goldtone fittings, Lisner signature charm, extender chain and fish hook.
This necklace is simply gorgeous- circa late 50s- early 60s. Lisner and other companies expanded into what we now call the "Plastic Jewelry" era particularly in the late 50's and created these unique designs along with the well known thermo-set pieces. Unfortunately, very few of the bib type designs are to be found.
Condition is Very Good- metal parts are Very nice as well which is hard to find in these mid-century pieces. Signed © LISNER
This does have a 3" extender chain- with the 4 strands there is about a 2.5" drop from top to bottom strand. The longest strand of beads is approx 17" without any extension (bead length only), a long choker or bib style.
